The Riva Manzanilla Fina Miraflores Baja is an intense manzanilla with citrus and nut aromas on the nose and notes of chalk and hydrocarbons. On the palate it has hints of anise and basil accompanied by a characteristic salinity, with a subtle and fresh mid-palate.

Palomino Fino 100%.  The vineyard which is the source of the grapes for this wine, Pago Miraflores Baja, is now 7 kms from the sea, but was once beneath it. Sedimentation of marine organisms produced the limestone rich albariza soils that are an essential starting point for the finest sherries. Grapes are harvested by hand then after fermentation the wine spends an average of 3 - 4 years in the single solera system. De La Riva was established by Manuel Antonio De La Riva in the late 19th Century in Jerez. The business was family run, and had a distinguished reputation before being acquired by Domecq in the early 1970's. Now an independent business again, young winemakers Ramiro Ibáñez and Willy Pérez have restored traditional methods and elevated the reputation of this brand.
