Amaré is a delicious fruity red wine  produced by Conestabile della Staffa Winery with Sangiovese and Colorino local grapes, macerated on the skins for 4 days and aged in fiberglass tanks, no sulphite added.  I have been sipping this lightly chilled and am a bit addicted!

Conestabile Della Staffa Winery are on the outskirts of Montemelino in Umbria. Not far from the vineyards, which is located for over twelve hectares, is Lake Trasimeno, which has a great influence on the climate and on the grapes. The estate dates back to the nineteenth century, but the first vintage as enologist director for Danilo Marcucci is 2015. The vineyards are located at 250-300 meters above sea level on clayey soils with a calcareous base. Here Sangiovese, Colorino, Sagrantino, Gamay del Trasimeno, Canaiolo, Trebbiano Dorato, Montanaro Trebbiano, Grechetto and Malvasia are cultivated. Spontaneous fermentations in the cellar no technology or intervention, where the wines do not undergo invasive filtrations.
